Please keep in mind that the first music/MP3 player was not a iPod. This iPod device shows or illustrates the design power of Apple computer. People want a quality device that works consistently. Apple has gradually been improving the design form of these devices, while the competition has been rather standing still. People point to the Zune. The Zune is a different device and approaches the music DRM rules differently. Often competitors have lease programs. Apple promotes people buying the songs once. Which would you want to rent or buy? Other differences about the Zune is the sharing of songs. Plus with the sharing you run out of your battery faster. So battery versus functionality? Which would you choose?
