First suggestion to the author is...wait for it...to exist. The gem industry is an interesting business that is coming under increased scrutiny as a result of the associated with "Blood Diamonds". However, in their favor, Blue Nile's supplier channels carry proper certification which suggest that they are a responsible retailer that takes great pain to comply with evolving international gem stones standards. Additionally, Blue Nile does not carry any gems in their inventory until the sale is made. This greatly reduces on warehousing cost and relaxes cash flow burden. All of these insights need to be incorporated into the future article.
