CB Richard Ellis Group was formed in 1998 by the merger of CB Commercial and Richard Ellis. CB Commercial, founded in 1906, was formerly part of Coldwell Banker. Richard Ellis was a British company dating back to the 1700's. In January, 2007, CBG acquired Trammell Crowe Company (TCC) for $2.2BB.
CBG is the largest commercial real estate services company. It's services range from investment sales, and leasing of industrial, office and retail space. In addition, CBG provides property management and related services to owners and users of commercial real estate. CBRE Investors invests onbehalf of endowments and pension funds. CBRE/ Melody provides commercial mortgage brokerages services to larger institutional investors.
With the acquisition of TCC, CBRE greatly expanded it's slate of services to large, Fortune 500 Companies.
For the first 9 months of 2007,CBG had revenues of $4.2BB.
