Although engines are 19% of CAT's sales, Class 8 truck engines are only about 5% of total sales. CAT diesels are used for many applications. Also, CAT has been working on their own automatic transmission to compete with Allison. On to this article, I think the information is very good. To be able to grow revenues and profits by any amount during the current U.S. construction downturn says a lot about the company's global diversification. And bear argument 1 does not make sense.
