"Known in China for its high quality of service"... I don't call constant junk messages that you can't block without losing all messaging functions, and then charging you for said messages "high quality of service". I call it stealing.

This is a great article. However, I have to say that I would have liked to see more details about the WCDMA vs. TD-SCDMA controversy. This decision is of monumental importance and to be perfectly frank with you, if they opt to utilize the TD-SCDMA standard, the Chinese 3G market will suffer irreparable damage. Let's hope logic wins out. Also, it would be good to mention that Vodafone owns a small equity stake in the carrier (~3%).
