If Citigroup goes chap 11, what happens to my common stocks held by Smith Barney div? They claim it is insured.? What if account exceeds insurance coverage?The level of my trust for any banking org has been eroded. Got burned bt WAMU already!

Very good overview of Citi. I think the overall coverage of Citi here is very good. Both bull and bear arguments, well annotated WikiChart and informative and easy to read neutral page. The only info I would like to see expanded is a little more on how they stack up with the main competition. I see the net interest chart showing Citi way behind their peers. What is the reason for this? How do they stack up on other banking metrics?

Could you send me a diagram of how CITI is set in terms of subsidiaries. I've looked on Citi's website, for instance Consumer Bank, and there are all kinds of sub groups that don't make sense. Are they business units or holding companies?
