GE is sold out in Wind Power until 2009, according to recent conferences. One of the largest Wind generating areas is in West Texas. GE is looking at some of the Wind projects that involve ocean locations to help develop their technology to handle sea water and harsh elements. Other innovation that GE is involved with involve clean water. Water is only able to be cleaned via chemicals to a certain level. GE is developing membrane technology to clean water faster and with less chemicals. The head of GE Water has been a water treatment manager, and GE has several innovative partnerships to develop this technology further. GE is also a innovator in Locomotive technology. They have several projects in the works to aid railroads get more for their purchase. Recently the CEO has pledged a 10% growth for next year as a floor via an interview on CNBC. This was not reported favorably in the print press since they did not get this interview. Also the company will continue with repurchase plans.
