I was hoping to find rider demographics here as well. Of the sales figures, what percentage men or women. And a more detailed breakdown of age groups. I'm writing an article and want to include the statistics. And what's with the notes above..."baby boomers...now past Harley buying age"? I didn't buy my Harley until I was 47 and at 57, I'm a Harley ridin' Grandma!

Excellent outline of HOG's business. Two question come to mind: First, has the housing slowdown and related credit crunch had a material effect on Harley's sales. How many new bikes were being purchased with Home equity loans or refinancing proceeds? Another way to ask the question, is what percentage of bike sales did HOG capture with it's own financing. I would guess a big portion of "cash" purchases were really financed with home equity. Second area I would like to see more info is sales in China. How many bikes are they selling their now and what are the growth rates? If Harley is to continue (or return to) being a growth company I think China sales growth has to be a big part of that. I also always look for information about a companies dividend, HOG pay a not insignificant dividend and it would be nice to see what the dividend payout has been historically.
