This is a great overview of the company - you clearly got a better grasp of the financial services industry than I do!
That said, I think the article could benefit from a discussion of the recent woes in the banking sector related to the subprime meltdown. Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, and Bear Stearns are all taking a beating, while JP Morgan is not. Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JP Morgan runs a tight ship and made sure to limit the bank's exposure to the market having already unwound most of their positions months ago.
For that reason, I think JP Morgan represents an interesting investment play being that their business was relatively unharmed by the subprime fiasco.
