Unforunately, this is mostly a direct copy from the Yahoo finance profile page. I expect a little more on Wikinvest. First, the Yahoo profile page is worthless when trying to figure out what a company does. KYO make copiers. That simple. They do have other lines, but copiers are a major part of their business. They are also a growing solar power player, but not a well known as some of the single line names. This is an interesting company that deserves a more interesting profile.

Good start on the article. The company is very diversified in its operations and draws revenues from around the globe. In recent years it has had strong revenue growth from Asia and Europe, while Japan (which accounts for almost 40% of sales) has been stagnating, and the US sales (about 20% of total revenues) has been declining. These dynamics should protect the company from the slowdown in the US, should the Asian portion of revenues continue to grow at a double digit rate.
