However, I do not see anything in the neatral report on the financial importance of Discover to the company. As a side note, with the recent IPO of Visa, such a spinoff could be quite rewarding. I think this article is very informative. I will keep an eye on the WikiChart notations to see if the management shakeup is having a positive effect. Until the last few days the stock price has been on a downward slide. Add comments or discussion related to this suggestion here. But, I think management's recent failures deserve closer examination. Purcell is mentioned in passing, but the whole "Grumpy Old Men" incident deserves closer inspection, especially in light of the fact that their hand-picked savior, John Mack, has failed to deliver thus far. Additionally, his compensation package, given MS's struggles, was completely out of whack last year. Add comments or discussion related to this suggestion here. [edit] IntroductionFirst talk about what Morgan Stanley does. What are some of the main metrics of their business? 2006 Revenue, earnings, employees, countries operated in, or whatever is relevant. Try to make your intro as coherent as possible. In otherwords, you are telling a story. Make sure that this a narrative and not just a collection of acts. Take a look at Citigroup as an example. Keep it fact bases. Don't make statements about investor confidence and the market's comfort with John Mack.
