This article serves as a good primer and intro into the business. However, financials and charts need to be integrated into the article in order to better display a picture of the company's operations and competitive landscape. Secondly, Qualcomm is an incredible organization and a very entrepreneurial global company. These guys grew incredibly fast, have developed a network technology (CDMA) that, at least on a technological basis, is far superior to the prevailing GSM standard (insofar as a global standard exists). Irwin Jacobs and Younes Nazarian and the rest of the early executive team should also be mentioned as their technological and commercial achievements are central to the company's current culture (Irwin's son Paul is the current CEO).
