I just updated the heinz article. I didn't want to step on toes and was waiting to see if the main contributors of the article wanted to respond. They came to a far different conclusion as I did on how it would impact revenue and I didn't want to make a rash re-analysis of the issue. Nstanton 11:58, April 28, 2008 (PDT)
Can we really trust the investment advice of a former camp counselor? Only time will tell.

Re: LIBOR Hi Adam,
I don't have a strong idea of what the community wants for definition pages such as LIBOR, CDS, etc... I've just been trying to get something up there when there's a need. I'm hoping that users may ask some questions and I can provide further clarification in the definitions. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. If there are other relevant definitions/topics in the financial products/terms space that you believe need to be tackled, I'm also glad to contribute.

Re: LIBOR Thanks, Adam. That gives me a decent idea of how to develop the LIBOR page.
However, I think it's more pertinent to develop a page on CDS (Credit Default Swaps). I see very little mention of them on this Wikinvest. Many investors don't understand the massive significance that they play in today's markets - they're not even mentioned in the 2007 Credit Crunch article. Considering that CDS is the most efficient way to express a view on credit and has, in some respects, distorted the overall credit market, it is, in my opinion, one of the most relevant topics that Wikinvest has very little to say about.
What are the experts saying {concept}I've found a site that tracks what experts say about stocks. They watch TV call in programs where experts answer callers questions about stocks, and then enter all the information into a database. [1]
Something else that the shows do is have the experts select 3 top picks. What stockchase does is track all this info so you can see how an expert did.
I've found the site useful, for getting tips, and learning about where the world economy is going.
Re: LIBOR It's very good. I'm glad you did it, because it's not one of my favorite topics.
The only major addition that I would make is an expansion on the recent criticisms of LIBOR that are mentioned in the WSJ article - Bankers Cast Doubt On Key Rate Amid Crisis. This addresses concerns about how LIBOR is calculated and also what it's future place is in a fully global financial market.
Enjoy your holiday, Adam.
Thanks for the heads up. I actually haven't been editing CBT lately, but I appreciate the advice.
Best, Tracey
Cheers Adam Thanks for your message, all the best, VandyB
Hi! Great to hear from you!
I've been busy lately, with end of junior year in high school and summer was extremely packed as well.
I just got power at my house after Hurricane Ike hit, but I'm looking forward to contributing more on this site.
Actually, I am about to purchase some stocks for the first time, under my dad's name of course (being that I'm only 17).
Do you have any advice? My teacher said to use Scott Trade, do you have any other ideas? Any good stocks?
I don't see how I could go wrong with Freddie Mae. But I'm still doing research.
Hope to keep in touch! Thanks!
Haotian

trying to properly categorize a new page I made As an experiment to see what value comes from disseminating our research, I made a new page for Butterfield Bank Group. Unfortunately, I did not read "Creating Articles for Stocks listed on the Bermuda Stock Exchange" until too late. The company is a BSX listed stock and so it belongs amongst Argus Group Holdings and BELCO Holdings. How do I move it to that category?
