Message from me to myselfHey, just leaving you an example message... Parkerconrad 14:31, February 28, 2008 (PST)
NewsI was saying let the users fill the news tool. Don't import anything. Let us use a "news" tag and fill in the blanks. The tag just organizes everything. I'd say that the news on OmniVision is WAY better than the normal stuff that comes out of AP or whatever (all because some more hardcore followers found the data, not me). But now it's getting pretty lengthy, so I was just saying it'd be nice to have a tool that could be organized by year and month, and we fill in the blanks.
Thanks! Numb Ers 07:09, February 29, 2008 (PST)

Image lag Yeah, they are all showing up fine now. I think the issue is maybe there is some sort of serious (like 5+ minutes) lag time for the image to be linked correctly when one overwrites an image with a new image of the same name. The new image doesn't show up right away, even though the new file size is showing. -Dagny87 14:44, April 25, 2008 (PDT)
Image lag Tried uploading a new file, did the refresh and F5 thing, no dice. Not even with a different web browser - the old picture is showing up. It will probably be the new one that says "TESTING" in a little bit. ---edit!! I take that back. Refreshing does make the new picture show up. (This time I did foul it up and upload the wrong image.) I guess maybe you might want to add a note to the upload file page that the browser may need to be refreshed for the new image to show up if people are uploading a new picture over an old file name.

ADR Hey, I've written a wiki for "American depositary receipt" and you've written a wiki for "American depository receipt" (We've spelled the D in ADR differently). According to the SEC, it's spelled "depositary." But since you're the co-founder of this website, you choose what to do! -Naveen
corrections to oil shale article Hi Parker
Thanks for your comments regarding the changes to the oil shale article. Glad to see we are all working together.
I went back and corrected the internal links to the other articles about the conventional oil and gas producing shales like the Barnett.
I hope you find it helpful to point out the distinction between conventional type shales and oil shale, which is a type of unconventional production.
The issue of the viability of hydrofracing the Barnett is another issue for the Barnett article if I have time later.
Given these clarifications, I would hope this would influence your opinion about any unintentional "editorializing" in the oil shale article, objectivity is critical to make Wikinvest credible isn't it?
My intention was to alert Average Joe Investor to the realities of the multitude of investment scams that prey upon people's lack of geological knowledge.
I trust this explanation and the changes to the article will meet with your approval?
Please respond with any questions or suggestions
Have an excellent day
JB
