AutoNavi Holdings (AMAP) (NASDAQ:AMAP) provides digital map content for navigation and location-based services in China. Its database covers about 2.8 million kilometers of roads and over 12.5 million points of interests in China, containing almost all of China's 1.3 billion people's locations. It has three main products: automotive navigation, public sector and enterprise application, and wireless/internet location-based services businesses. Automotive navigation accounts the company's sales of its digital map data for in-dash navigation systems. Public sector and enterprise applications accounts for the services it provides public sector and enterprise customers, such as 3-D modeling, aerial photography, and location-based services. Wirelss/internet location-based solutions account for the digital map database sales to mobile companies such as China mobile for wireless-location-based services. [1]

The digital map data, navigation and location-based services markets are projected for substantial growth in China. According to Analysys In-Dash Report, sales of in-dash navigation systems are projected to grow at a CAGR of 44.6% from 348.000 units in 2009 to 1.1 million units in 2012. Sales of portable navigation devices are projected to increase at a CAGR of 22.2% from 1.5 million units in 2009 to 2.8 million units in 2012. [1]

The company filed an initial public offering (IPO) on the NASDAQ on 1 July 2010. The company's shares priced at $12.50, at the higher end of the price range: $10.50-$12.50. The company offered 8.6 million shares to raise $108 million. [1]

For FY2009 with year ended 31 December 2009, the company had net revenues of $57.2 million, up 25.7% from $45.5 million in net revenues for FY2008. Furthermore, the company had net income of $10.4 million in FY2009, up 371.7% from $2.2 million in FY2008. As of 31 March 2010, the revenue mix had 73.8% of total net revenues in automotive navigation, 13.8% in public sector and enterprise applications, and 10.7% in wireless/Internet location-based services businesses.
