Oracle to buy BEAS for $19.38 per share (cash)

Oracle has stepped in and offered to buy BEAS for $8.5bln in cash, coming out to $19.375 per share. As of April 4th, 2008, the deal has been approved by the Department of Justice and shareholders. The only hold out at this point is the EU which has yet to issue a ruling.
