Bank Announcement is an announcement made by a country's central bank after their first meeting of the month that is devoted to monetary policy. Bank announcements are important because most central banks do not publish the minutes of their meetings. The outcome of the announcement, such as change in interest rates will affect the stock and bond markets. Higher(lower) interest rates are bearish(bullish) for stock markets and bullish(bearish) for bond markets.
