Its focus will be on upscale hotels in major business and airport markets and may consider hotels in urban areas or special locations in the United States. With the current economic environment, the company seeks to acquire hotel properties priced below the replacement costs, so it has attractive yield. [1]

The company's initial public offering (IPO) of stock was filed on 29 September 2009 and began trading on an exchange on 21 January 2010. With a proposed offer price of $20.00, the actual offer price was also $20.00. The company offered 7.5 million shares. [2]

The company does not own any property and has no agreement to acquire any property at this time.
