The Chicago Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) is an index released monthly and it indicates how vibrant regional manufacturing activity is. The index reports on data such as production, new orders, order backlog, inventories, prices paid, employment, and supplier deliveries. The Chicago PMI is closed watched as it is released one day before the ISM Index.[1]
