A chief executive officer (CEO) is the top executive in charge of a corporation, organization, or agency. The CEO reports to the Board of Directors and generally has several subordinates including a chief financial officer (CFO), a chief operating officer (COO), a chief technical officer (CTO), a chief marketing officer (CMO), a chief information officer (CIO) and a head of human resources.

Some famous CEOs include: Steve Jobs Apple (AAPL) , Warren Buffett Berkshire Hathaway (BRK), Lloyd Blankfein Goldman Sachs Group (GS), and Rex Tillerson Exxon Mobil (XOM) and Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook, not yet publicly traded).
