What is a Consigliere?
Consigliere is the Italian term for adviser or counselor. It is derived from the Latin term consiliarius, which means advice. Wikinvest Consiglieres are hand picked, recruited top organic contributors who advise us on decisions made about improving our product and contributor experience.
What do Consiglieres do?
Consiglieres are an ambitious bunch. Check out our goals or take a look at some of their functional responsibilities below.
Consiglieres have agreed to:
- Participate in monthly conference calls and provide feedback about new and existing products and features
- Receive Bulls and Bears emails and post their opinion on article pages
- Join the Wikinvest Open list and ask and answer questions
Why are Consiglieres valuable?
- Consiglieres provide excellent and direct feedback about product ideas, mocks, plans to change the site, etc.
- Consiglieres are the top organic contributors and they represent the larger organic contributor audience. Finding ways to keep them engaged and enthused about what we do should translate into increased numbers of Consiglieres and increased contributions.
- Consiglieres are a small group of users that maintain a close relationship with Wikinvest Editors and the Community Manager

- About companies of the future: I strongly recommend 2 websites
- TradeVibes : good place to find deep information about startup and to COMPARE them with their competitors AND to see opinions (arguments) about their business model. Eventually you can contribute...
- CrunchBase which could complete the former one about investors (seed, angels, venture capital)
- I think Wikinvest should strive to cover every publicly traded company, everywhere and take steps to expand its international coverage in 2009 towards this goal. Pcushing 17:01, January 13, 2009 (PST)
