Echelon Corporation (NASDAQ: ELON) involves itself in the various facets of network infrastructure. It builds and sells the hardware neccesary for a smooth running automation system - such as control modules and routers and streamlines related software products - such as its "LNS Network Operating System" which acts as a central hub for a network, allowing the user to monitor and design existing network infrastructure components.
