Electricity futures are traded on the New York Mercantile Exchange under ticker symbol JM in U.S. dollars and cents per Mwh.[1]
Delivery DatesElectricity futures are delivered every year in January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December (all months).[1]

Contract SizeOne Electricity futures contract on the New York Mercantile Exchange is 40 megawatt hours (Mwh) per peak day (between 19 and 23 days) depending on the month. Depending on the number of peak days in the month, the number of megawatt hours will vary (between 760 Mwh and 920 Mwh)..[1]
