"Fabbed" is industrial jargon in the semiconductor industry. The word is used to describe a business model where the entity exploiting the model has possession of semiconductor fabrication facilities. It is ambiguous as to whether the entity exploiting the model owns any other types of facilities.
The term can be used to describe companies that sell fabrication to semiconductor designers, marketers, etc. such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM).
The term can also be used to describe companies that use their own internal fabrication facilities yet are principally responsible for their respective chips' designs such as Micron Technology (MU).
