Franchisee

Person who bought permission from a company enabling them to carry out specified commercial activities.

The franchisor allows the franchisee to use the franchisor’s trademarks, collects a fee from the franchisee at the beginning of the operation, and the franchisor has significant control over the franchisee’s operation. [1] Fast-food companies are often franchised, and one example of a franchisor would be McDonald's Corporation. [2]
