The automotive industry is being pushed towards alternative energy sources from all sides, government, advocacy groups, and consumers alike. Only one thing is certain: natural gas's dominance in the auto world just can't last. But what will be its successor? Ideas range from the less believable solar and pressurized-air cars to the electric, hybrid-electric (fuel cell), and ethanol/flex-fuel/biodiesel/alternative biofuel cars already on the market.
