As of 31 December 2007, the New York Stock Exchange had 2,297 listed companies[1] with a combined market capitalization of $15.7 trillion.[2] It is the world's largest stock exchange, both by market capitalization and value of shares traded.

The NYSE is currently located at 18 Broad Street in NYC and was organized in 1792.
