During the financial year 2007-08, it had acquired 11 sites in 6 countries around the world bringing the number of overseas projects ONGC is involved with upto 38 across 18 countries. Of these 38 projects, 24 are in the Exploration stage, 6 in the Development stage and 7 in the Production stage. The remaining project is a Sudan pipeline project.
