Frozen Pork Bellies futures were traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange until July 2012. They were traded under ticker symbol PB in cents per pound, but for electronic trading sessions, the symbol GBP is used.[1]
Pork Bellies are the underside of a pig (the "belly") from which bacon is made. It is one of the two primary types of pork futures contracts commonly traded, the other being Lean Hogs.
The chart at left shows front-month Pork Bellies futures prices on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) in cents per pounds.
Delivery DatesFrozen Pork Bellies futures are delivered every year in February, March, May, July, & August.[1]
