Overview
The PowerShares Global Gold and Precious Metals Portfolio (Fund) is based on the NASDAQ OMX Global Gold and Precious Metals IndexSM (Index). The Fund will normally invest at least 90% of its total assets in securities that comprise the Index and ADRs and GDRs based on the securities in the Index. The Index is designed to measure the overall performance of globally traded securities of the largest and most liquid companies involved in gold and other precious metals mining-related activities. The Index is rebalanced quarterly using a modified, market-cap-weighted methodology. [1]
