Sibiu Stock Exchange (SIBEX) was founded in 1994 having commodities intermediation as the main activity. Starting with 1997 the company focused on the development and the administration of securities and financial derivatives markets.

In relation to operating financial instruments markets, SIBEX organizes training programs for capital market specialists, being authorized as a Professional Formation Institution by the Romanian National Securities Commission (RNSC), and by the National Commission for Professional Formation of Adults as a Professional Formation Provider for Brokers.

Sibiu Exchange was founded as a private company with 33.24 million lei share capital and was the first Romanian exchange authorized by RNSC. Being the pioneer of exchange listed derivatives in Romania, at the moment Sibex is the leader on this market segment.

Sibiu Exchange launches in 1997 the first derivatives products, the futures contracts. Then, in 1998, options on futures were implemented, CFD's ( contracts for difference) in 2009 , shares in 2010 and binary options in 2011.

With over 16 years of experience in the domain of the derivatives, Sibex offers the investors accessible products and services.
