I recommend a section within Mutual Funds - How to Analyze and Select a Fund, which would include getting the Lipper ratings (available on wsj.com) the Morningstar ratings (google), the Sharpe and Treynor ratios (Yahoo Finance) along with the performance numbers available in many places.

With the proliferation of ETFs and Index Funds and the poor performance of the managed funds, does it still make sense to invest with managed funds?
